Have you ever met a Shiloh Shepherd in person before?
They are a lot like the German Shepherds of days gone by - like Rin Tin Tin. They have the intelligence of GSDs,
but are softer in temperament and are larger in size, in both height and bone. They are gentle giants that can
intimidate an intruder that is unwelcome, while being incredibly careful and caring around a newborn.
|
Our Shilohs are raised around our children and grandchildren and they treat the children with
the same respect they give us. Shilohs tend to respect that which is important to you and therefore they are
very easy to train. They have an intrinsic desire for you to be pleased with them and there is an intuitive
quality about them. Be a confident leader and set your expectations very high for your Shiloh and your Shiloh
will meet or exceed your expectations. These dogs love to think and be connected with their families.

Our Shiloh Shepherds are registered with The International Shiloh Shepherd Registry (ISSR),
which upholds the strict breeding standards, set forth by the Breed Founder - Tina Barber; Shilohs with good
health, strong hips, stable and predicable temperaments; dogs that make wonderful family companions. As ISSR
Shiloh Shepherd breeders, we continually study and strive to better the development of our breed and help
teach others about these wonderful dogs. We are available for mentorship to people wishing to become breeders
of this magnificent and noble breed.
We always sleep in the same room as our pregnant girls as well as the entire
time period that pups are on the ground. We watch and care for our litters very closely and carefully. All our
pups get a lot of attention and handling from day one to their eighth week, when the litter evaluations are conducted.
Our puppies tend to be very affectionate and bond easily with their new families.
|
We start our pups with early learning and development, which includes early neurological stimulation,
socialization and education. Because of this training and exposure, the pups are more apt to recover from stressful
situations they encounter in life. Our pups get lessons on walking on a loose lead and receive basic obedience commands.
Our pups tend to have better focus and listening ability because of the early handling.
